The mid-market is increasingly the center of gravity for GP Stakes: it’s where many GPs hit a growth inflection point and begin pursuing strategic expansion—often making a GP Stakes deal a real consideration. It’s also where a growing share of new GP Stakes strategies are being launched. Yet while the opportunity set is large, mid-market penetration remains relatively low, leaving a long runway for first-time deals.

Bios on our speakers
Stefan Paulovic is a partner in Proskauer’s Corporate Department and co-leads its GP Solutions practice. He is one of the leading strategic and innovative advisors in the GP solutions space over the last decade across both the “sell-side” and “buy-side” and brings deep expertise and market knowledge in GP Stakes and other complex asset management transactions (including control, preferred equity, spin-out and seed deals).
Ajay Chitkara is the Managing Partner of Bonaccord Capital Partners, where he has overall responsibility for the firm and serves on Bonaccord’s investment committee. Prior to forming Bonaccord, Ajay was a Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners focused on strategic development within alternatives, and previously was a Managing Director and Head of Europe for Swiss Re’s Equity and Fund-Linked Group.
Michael Lunt co-leads the day-to-day operations and all aspects of investment activities at RidgeLake Partners. He also has served as the portfolio manager for OA Private Capital’s GP Stakes portfolio. Prior to joining OA Private Capital in 2006, Michael was a corporate partner at Warner Norcross & Judd LLP in Grand Rapids, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance while serving on the firm’s Management Committee.
Anthony Maniscalco is the Managing Partner and Head of Investcorp Strategic Capital Group (ISCG), based in New York. ISCG is focused on providing capital solutions to the GPs of mid-sized private market alternative asset managers. ISCG closed its inaugural fund in the Spring of 2022 and currently manages over $2.2 billion of AUM. In his current role, Anthony leads the business, sources new investments, advises portfolio GPs, and chairs the Investment Committee.
Michael Shedosky serves as Co-CIO of Azimut Alternative Capital Partners (AACP) and has over two decades of relevant industry experience. Prior to joining AACP, Michael was Managing Director and Head of GP Capital Solutions at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, responsible for executing GP Stakes investments in private markets firms. Michael was previously a Managing Director at Wafra Inc. responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing GP Stakes deals.
