This breakout room is especially timely because Europe is moving from being a smaller, more occasional GP Stakes market to one with real depth across the UK and continental Europe. We’ll focus on what is actually driving transactions in the region: founder liquidity, expansion into new geographies, and the push to institutionalize firms that have grown meaningfully over the last decade. We’ll also look at the features that make European deals distinct, including cross-border partnership structures, different tax and regulatory regimes, and a manager landscape that is often more fragmented and less scaled than in the US.
The speakers are well placed to lead that discussion. Renaud brings the perspective of a dedicated European GP Stakes investor as Deputy CEO and COO of ARMEN, a firm focused on GP Stakes and built around supporting private market managers with more than just capital. Victoria brings the transaction lens from across the market: at Travers Smith, she advises on minority and majority GP-stake M&A, and her deal experience spans dedicated GP Stakes funds and institutional LP buyers. Together, they can speak both to how these deals are being underwritten in Europe and how they are actually getting executed.

Bios on our speakers
Renaud Tourmente is Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer at ARMEN, and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Renaud has spent his career helping to build and scale investment platforms, with experience spanning corporate finance, private debt, and platform development. Prior to joining ARMEN, he held senior roles at WestLB, AXA IM, and CAPZA, where he helped drive significant platform growth and supported the development of new investment strategies.
Victoria Bramall is a Partner in the Private Equity & Financial Sponsors Group and a member of Travers Smith’s Alternative Asset Management Initiative. She is a corporate lawyer with over 10 years of experience advising on pan-European and international private equity and M&A transactions for institutional investors, alternative asset managers, and founders. Victoria advises on GP-stake M&A, governance, restructurings, and succession planning.
